There're lots of things to do,
And the food is finger lickin' good.
(no more KFC, it's been taken over by Marrybrown. Best ke? I didn't have any..)
Boredomus Maximus, and it's only been the third day of the long break. I didn't want to break my wallet by shopping, so I went to the zoo to take pictures (ala2 National Geographic la supposedly, hahaha!). The zoo is cleaner now than my last visit 2-3 years back. Also saw the two newborn giraffes prancing around in the Savannah Walk. Very cute! Didn't get to take pictures of the orangutans though, because we were too tired to walk up the hill to Ape Central. I love how they position the animals near the visitors, which made them so much easier to shoot (with a camera la, not a gun!). But I think the zoo should have zoo patrol nearby, since there were quite a number of idiot visitors who still feed the animals despite the warning signs against doing so. Some pictures...

Money can't buy you happiness,
they say.
I say, it can.
It could buy you services to make you feel even better about yourself.
It could buy you things that you will obsess with for a couple of months.
And when you get tired of those things you bought a couple of months ago,
it could buy new things that you can obsess with for the next couple of months.
It could buy you luxuries that could minimize your stress level.
...a driver to drive you to work everyday?
...a trip to your favorite holiday spot?
...a personal fitness instructor to keep you in shape?
...a dedicated Internet line so you can surf and download faster than everyone else?
How about buying things that you probably don't need, and not having to worry if you'll have enough money at the end of the month?
So, I suppose, indirectly, money does buy you some happiness. Though I stand corrected.
(Yes, yes, i know, it doesn't buy you class nor unconditional love..)
Eh, but if you buy a dog, you can get unconditional love what? Aha! So I guess money can buy you almost everything except class.
Oh...speaking of class (sidetrack pour un moment),
luxury cars illegally parked in front of BSC, blocking off one lane on the road. What...spent so much dosh on the cars, no more left to pay for jockey ah? tarak kelas langsung! the polis in the pondok polis also was nowhere to be seen that evening...hmm.
Back to the topic. I thought about this when I was getting a manicure just now. And when I was purchasing that top from Blook, and that chain anklet from Plaza Damas. I think I'm becoming a spendaholic. Oh dear, am I?
Ok lah, off I go..to think about my plans for the upcoming long break.
Gong Xi Fa Chai everyone! Don't forget to give me some angpau so I can buy more stuff! hahaha.

It's Monday
Time flies, eh? I'm already back in the office for a week now. Some people remember me, some don't, which is fine. :-D
Got stuck in a massive jam just now, even after chilling out first around the office area. It took me almost 2 hours to get home. My first horrible traffic jam in more than a year. A year and a half ago, traffic jams like that would've made me edgy and stressed. But today, I refused to get caught in it. I put on some James Blunt and Radja, sat back, and enjoyed the lights as I inched my way through the city. Yes, maybe in a month or two, I'll be just as stressed as every other cityzens out there, but for now, I'm not, so I'll just enjoy it while I can, for as long as I can.
Some pictures i took last friday afternoon while in Seremban:
my dream plate number..without the 1. NAD10
Doctor Lounge at Seremban GH's canteen door. Lagi power dari Doctor House. :-D
A bientot mes amis! Je suis tres tired et je voudrais dormire. zzzzz.

Le Premier Jour
aiyo...penat!
shredded old documents, moved old stuff, setup my internet connection, chatted with people.
the real thing starts tomorrow.
got a place with a view of the park. nice, but a bit hot when it's sunny.

Oh dear...
I've been lying on my bed for 1 hour but I couldn't sleep. Many thoughts entered my head stopping me from drifting away. The wedding discussion we had just now, when I should go for yoga, the french class i missed last week, and...woops..is my hair too short for work tomorrow? Is my suit too loose? I'm not really a vainpot, but sometimes I get people calling me "abang" or "encik", and it really scares me. hehe.
Help...i need to sleep! That mug of peppermint tea didn't help at all. Any other suggestions? Ok la, I better just shut my eyes and force myself to sleep. I'll see some of you in a few hours. Yay!
Btw, a moment of silence for Mr Frodo, who passed away yesterday afternoon. Cause of death - unknown. He never made it to the vet. We buried him at the slope in front of the house. He was an adorable cat, who loved lots of attention. He was 2 years old.

Day +6 Months Part Deux
Et je vais bien.
Bone Marrow Biopsy results showed that I am still in complete remission, Alhamdulillah.
Doc said I must try to lead a stress-free life and working environment to stay healthy. ;-)
Ciclosporin was cut down from 100mg/day to 75mg/day. Penicillin 500mg/day. Also had to do that Pentamidine nebulizer thing today, which was mega-yucky.
Am going to sleep now. Haven't slept since last night in an attempt to fix my sleeping pattern before I start working. Countdown to starting work = -3 days.
Bonne nuit!

I lost count of exactly how many days that is. Happy 6 months post-SCT to me.
Post 6-month resolution:
- start drinking Enerflex AFA soy drink again.
Wanted to celebrate with cake, but i already had one yesterday.
Adios muchachos.

Itch
Had a mega-itch to paste James Blunt's Goodbye My Lover, so instead I decided to paste a picture of Coffeebean's Chicago Cheesecake that I'm trying to finish at the mo'. If WAB's four pictures are worth four thousand words, then my picture here is worth a thousand calories.
....
....
Argh...to hell with it! It's my favorite tune of the week. Here's a beautiful song for you people out there. Dengan ucapan, semoga sukses selalu..! :-)
Goodbye My Lover - James Blunt
Did I disappoint you or let you down?
Should I be feeling guilty or let the judges frown?
'Cause I saw the end before we'd begun,
Yes I saw you were blinded and I knew I had won.
So I took what's mine by eternal right
Took your soul out into the night
It may be over but it won't stop there,
I am here for you if you'd only care.
You touched my heart you touched my soul
You changed my life and all my goals
And love is blind and that I knew when,
My heart was blinded by you.
I've kissed your lips and held your head
Shared your dreams and shared your bed
I know you well, I know your smell
I've been addicted to you.
Goodbye my lover, Goodbye my friend..
You have been the one, You have been the one for me.
I am a dreamer but when I wake,
You can't break my spirit - it's my dreams you take.
And as you move on, remember me,
Remember us and all we used to be
I've seen you cry, I've seen you smile.
I've watched you sleeping for a while.
I'd be the father of your child.
I'd spend a lifetime with you.
I know your fears and you know mine.
We've had our doubts but now we're fine,
And I love you, I swear that's true, I cannot live without you.
Goodbye my lover, Goodbye my friend..
You have been the one, You have been the one for me.
And I still hold your hand in mine.
In mine when I'm asleep.
And I will bear my soul in time, When I'm kneeling at your feet.
Goodbye my lover, Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one, You have been the one for me.
I'm so hollow, baby, I'm so hollow.I'm so, I'm so, I'm so hollow.

It's Saturday!
Wow, it has been a busy week for me.
Had chest x-ray and ultrasound on Wednesday. According to the consultant radiologist, morphologically, everything looks normal. Chest clear from the x-ray, and the ultrasound did not detect any abnormalities in my abdominal organs (spleen, liver, gallbladder, bla bla). So he said whatever is causing my liver enzymes to go up must be at the cellular level.
Went for a blood test on Thursday, and a bone marrow biopsy. The doc must have given me the same dosage of sedation as when I was 10 kgs heavier. Went into the treatment room at 11am, the next thing i knew, it was 1pm and I was already on one of the hospital beds at wad 21. Couldn't remember a thing, e.g. whether I walked to the bed, or somebody wheeled me. :-) My back is still a bit sore from the procedure, although it hasn't stopped me from driving around town. My blood counts were normal. The liver function test from two weeks ago still shows elevated liver enzymes. Hmm.. the doctor wasn't around that afternoon, so I'll have to come back next week to talk about that, and to get my biopsy results. Hope everything will continue to be fine, and my liver shows some improvement at the next visit. Also hope that this liver situation doesn't have to come down to a liver biopsy, which i believe would a major pain in the ass...or i guess in this case, a major pain in the liver!
Started French class today. After almost 8 years..i think i need to brush up on my conversational skills hehehe. Alors, maintenant, je parle francais un peu. Weehoo! After that it was meeting friends after friends after friends. Went to baby Arina's birthday party, which was cute to the max! It was fun to play with them little people, as long as they're not mine! hahaha..quite a pity i didn't bring my camera, though. :-( Ok-lah, gua gonna shower now, got more friends to meet tonight.
Have a great weekendzzzz! (Ok, somebody shoot me if i start writing like that). hahaha.
Bye boyzz and gurlss. (ok, just shoot me now. please.)

At the risk of being cheesy...
You know how people start pasting lyrics and poetry when there's nothing to blog about? I was watching "In Her Shoes" yesterday and heard this poem. It touched a nerve.
One Art - Elizabeth Bishop
The art of losing isn't hard to master;
so many things seem filled with the intent
to be lost that their loss is no disaster.
Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.
Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.
I lost my mother's watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.
I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.
--Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan't have lied. It's evident
the art of losing's not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.
From The Complete Poems 1927-1979 by Elizabeth Bishop
Oh...I do have something to say. Have bone marrow biopsy on Thursday. Wish me luck! For the biopsy and the results. :-)

A Cat's Dilemma
hmm....should I scratch the Alfa, the Fiat or the Audi tonight? Wait, did I just see an A-class behind that Fiat?
